Tampa Bay and St-Louis Clinched Playoff Spot

So monday, The Tampa Bay Lightning earned a playoff spot by defeating the Montreal Canadiens 5-3 and St-Louis earned it tonight by defeating the Calgary Flames 4-1. Here are the reasons why they made the playoffs.

With the help of Tyler Johnson, Nikita Kucherov and Ondrej Palat, there were one of the best trio of the league. They got help to from Steven Stamkos, Ryan Callahan, Anton Strallman and Ben Bishop. They want to prove to people that they can get a better playoff year than last year against the Montreal Canadiens. They have the best fowards and the strongest defensemen in the league. With the help from Vladislav Namestnikov monday, he made 2 goals to help them win. They will get betterthis playoff year with Ben Bishop not injured.

The St-Louis Blues had a good with the help of Vladimir Tarasenko, Jaden Schwartz, Jori Lethera trio, also got help from Alex Steen, T.J. Oshie, David Backes, Alex Pietrangelo, Kevin Shattenkirk and others. Even if Paul Stastny didn't do a big impact this year with is new team, they still had a great year because of Tarasenko. St-Louis are favorites to go to the Stanley Cup Final but they never made it this far so It would be surprising if they go to the Finals.

If the playoffs were today, St-Louis would be agaisnt the Chicago Black Hawks, that would be a good series like last year but they got defeated by Chicago but they might come back and defeat them or not.

They could face Vancouver, but it will most likely be against Chicago.

If they were today the playoffs, Tampa Bay would be against Detroit Red Wings. The Red Wings may have some goaltending drama with starting with Jimmy Howard or Petr Mrazek. But they are still good even with the goaltending drama. They have Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk, Justin Abdelkader, Tomas Tatar and more. They could be facing between Boston or Detroit but It would most likely be vs Detroit.
