Aaron Ekblad, Johnny Gaudreau and Mark Stone nominated for Calder Trophy.

So yesterday the NHL announced the nominated players for the Calder Trophy. There were lots of great rookies this year but Aaron Ekblad from The Florida Panthers, Johnny Gaudreau from the Calgary Flames and Mark Stone from the Ottawa Senators are nominated for the Calder Trophy ( Rookie of the year).

Here are the reason why they should win the Calder Trophy.

Aaron Ekblad

Aaron Ekblad had an amazing rookie season this year. Being the first one drafted in the NHL Draft by the Panthers, and being the first Defensemen Drafted, Aaron Ekblad was a player to watch n the NHL soon. He played this year in the Panthers team has the youngest player in the league. 18 years old and he played his first NHL Season. Him and other players of course, helped the team to almost go to Palyoffs this year and of course with the help of Gerrad Gallant. Aaron Ekblad had a season of 39 points with The Florida Panthers and thats amazing for a Rookie Defensemen.

Johnny Gaudreau

Everyone knew that Johnny Hockey was going to be a great player in the NHL and he is. Playing in the first line with Sean Monahan and Jiri Hudler helped him be a better player. With him and the team, they are in the Playoffs this year and could elimanate the Vancouver Canucks soon. In an interview he was told that it was hard for him to get to a team when he was young because he was to small. And he prooved them all wrong. With 24 goals 40 assits he earned 64 points has a Rookie. Wouldn't be suprised if he wins the Calder.

Mark Stone

He had an Impact on the Senators with there big come back to go to the Playoffs. Mark Stone was called some times for the team in 2012 2013 and 2014. But he played all year long with the team and was a great player for the team. He earned 64 points this year has a rookie. The Ottawa Senators might be elimanated tonight by the Montreal Candiens. But still had a great season and i'm not suprised he was nominated for the Calder.
