So today, the NHL annouced the finalists for the Art Trophy, it's for the most valuable player of the year.

The Finalists are Alex Ovechkin from The Washington Capitals, Carey Price from The Montreal Canadiens and John Tavares from The New York Islanders. Here are the reasons why they are finalists.

Alex Ovechkin

With 53 goals this year and having the Maurice Richard trophy, he got nominated for the Art Trophy. Alex Ovechkin had an incredible season of 83 points with Washington. Since barry Trotz came to Washington, he got better. He won the last 2 years the Maurice Richard trophy and will win it again this year but he could win the Art. He had an amazing year and i would'nt be surprised if he wins the Art this year.

Carey Price

Like i said in an other article, Carey Price is one of the main reasons why Montreal are good this season. They have Max Pacioretty, P.K. Subban, Brendan Gallagher, Andrei Markov and more, but Carey Price is the difference maker. He will win the Vezina Trophy and the Art Trophy he was the best player this year and he is a goalie. He is the best player in the league right now, enough said.

John Tavares

He had a great season this year with The New York Islanders has there new captain and he was amazing. He's one of my favorite players and he could win the Art but i think i would be surprised if he wins the Art. He was great this season. He made 4 goals in the NHL All-Star Game and he was great. He is one of the reasons the Islanders are great this year.

Thanks for reading and good night :)
